Which genres actually shine on a phone

Which genres actually shine on a phone

People sometimes ask why we cover such a spread of genres. The honest answer is that some styles of game translate to touch beautifully, and some fight it every step of the way.

Turn-based strategy and RPGs do great, because you have time to plan and precise taps aren't rushed. Casual puzzles are practically born for the format. Adventure games with tap-to-interact worlds, like the quieter titles we love, feel right at home.

Where things get tricky is anything demanding fast, precise input across the whole screen. Some racers and shooters manage it with clever layouts and tilt controls, but it takes real design effort. When it works, it's a joy; when it doesn't, your thumbs cover the action.

Our catalogue mixes these on purpose. A great fishing sim, a tactical RPG and an arcade racer all teach you something different about what a phone can do well.
